Other day I went through the article of Kiran Bedi in which she describes life as a language. Lord Krishna also describes life in Geeta by many ways – as a song, a game, a challenge, a dream, a sacrifice, a love & many other ways. We can truly describe it as a beautiful language, which we can learn straight from the heart. No one is able to understand this life better. But this vision of making life like a language can lead to a meaningful life.
“Life is a like a language”. It’s truly a great simile. We can correlate the life with a language having many punctuation marks like a question mark, an exclamation mark, a comma, a semi colon, and a full stop. We experience many things in life. We can say there are many phases in life-happiness, fear, doubt, anxiety, sorrow, failure, success, etc. Question mark in a line always represents a problem. So in a life, while living we face many problems. Some have solutions. But some of them can’t be solved. Sometimes I asked myself, “Does my life have meaning? Am I making a difference for good in the world?” I always ask such questions to myself. Because I believe that happiest people are those who make a cautious effort to live useful lives. Their happiness is a deep sense of inner peace that comes when they believe their lives have meaning.
Now semi colon is used in a language when some part of thought in a line is written & some is to be written It is used in a long sentence. In a life while doing certain work, at a certain time you need rest & after that you resume again .It is like a semi colon in line. Now let’s talk about comma. While achieving something, while doing some work, there are many hindrances in our path & I think these hindrances are like commas in sentence. Many times we get excited because of something. That’s where exclamation mark comes into existence.
Quotation marks in line are used to quote the words spoken by a particular person. We should have a control on the words we speak. We should not pronounce unkind words that will hurt someone. So command over the language is most essential. Now the most important thing in language is a full stop. After doing a lot of work continuously or after achieving many things we need to stop somewhere. We feel like settling somewhere. We can take another meaning of a full stop by saying that death is a kind of a full stop to life. After all what we need is a satisfaction. Satisfaction is the most important thing in a life. If we can convert full stop into satisfaction we are most successful.
